IT consulting and support

VDI’s dedicated team of engineers understand how the various parts of the hotel function and the proprietary PMS systems that tie them all together.

We are often called in to address these key areas:

  • Wireless access points and wired Internet infrastructure We can design, install, and support the Internet system that both your guests and employees use. A poorly designed wireless or wired system will lead to guest complaints, low customer service scores, and low employee productivity. We repair existing systems and get new systems right the first time.
  • Voice and data cabling Our technicians are certified in copper and fiber-optic cabling installations and maintenance. Cabling in hotels is often more difficult than cabling in a normal office building. Hard ceilings, lobbies, lack of access panels, multiple floors, firewalls, lots of concrete, and no access to guest rooms are just a few of the problems we have experience solving. Because hotels are filled with guests and employees, our professional cabling crews have learned how to get in and out in a safe, professional manner.
  • Data center build-out and cleanup We have seen Data Center nightmares with cabling running in every direction, which can lead to mistakes and long troubleshooting times in an emergency. Cleaning up the mess can be daunting to the inexperienced, but our teams have managed this job in data centers of all sizes.

Guests will always need help connecting to the Internet, and customer satisfaction scores often suffer when guests don’t get the help they need. For a small fee per room per month VDI can provide friendly help desk support from US-based Microsoft-certified technicians.
